
Sussex County man arrested after car burglary investigation
FRANKLIN BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sussex County man was arrested following a car burglary investigation by the Franklin Borough police.
Kevin W. Puza, 36, of Franklin Borough was arrested on April 27 following a motor vehicle burglary investigation that occurred on the evening of Thursday, April 20 at the Franklin Borough Shoprite, police said.
Officers investigated and determined that on several video surveillance systems, Puza had been observed walking through the parking lots of Walmart, Shoprite, and surrounding areas, attempting to enter unlocked vehicles, police said.
Puza successfully accessed one vehicle and removed property and cash from the interior of the car, police said.
Puza was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree attempted burglary, and third-degree theft, all crimes of the third degree. He was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance, police said.
Hardyston Police Department and Newton Police Department assisted in the investigation.
