Sussex County man dies after falling off boat in Sandy Hook Bay

A Sussex County man man died after falling overboard from a boat Saturday afternoon, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Trooper Alejandro Goez said.

On April 17, at 2:53 p.m., New Jersey State Police Marine Services Bureau responded to the report of a man overboard from a 37 foot vessel in the area of Sandy Hook Bay, Goez said.

Scott Sabisch, 57, of Glenwood was recovered unresponsive and was pronounced deceased, Goez said.

“He was at the front of the boat when he went overboard but the cause of why he did remains under investigation, ” Goez said.
