Sussex County man pleads guilty to resisting arrest

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sussex County man has entered a guilty plea to resisting arrest, according to Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch.

Herman K. Flood, III, 29, of Wantage pled guilty to third-degree resisting arrest before the Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 10, Koch said.

Flood admitted to resisting arrest, kicking and punching Hamburg Police Officers when they effectuated a motor vehicle stop of his vehicle as part of a disturbance complaint they were investigating, Koch said.

Flood is scheduled to be sentenced on April 29, Koch said.
