Sussex County reports 119 new COVID-19 cases; 2 additional deaths

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – Sussex County officials on Thursday, December 9 are reporting 119 new COVID-19 cases and 2 additional deaths.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sussex County is at 20,700* and total deaths is at 360:

  • Andover Borough-70 and 0 deaths
  • Andover Township-1,000 and 130 deaths
  • Branchville Borough-98 and 0 deaths
  • Byram Township-1,181 and 8 deaths
  • Frankford Township-821 and 37 deaths
  • Franklin Borough-801 and 9 deaths
  • Fredon Township-430 and 5 deaths
  • Green Township-543 and 9 deaths
  • Hamburg Borough-524 and 8 deaths
  • Hampton Township-705 and 4 deaths
  • Hardyston Township-1,217 and 16 deaths
  • Hopatcong Borough-2,189 and 21 deaths
  • Lafayette Township-320 and 1 death
  • Montague Township-496 and 3 deaths
  • Newton-1,196 and 31 deaths 
  • Ogdensburg Borough-370 and 6 deaths
  • Sandyston Township-255 and 3 deaths
  • Sparta Township-2,675 and 22 deaths
  • Stanhope Borough-51 and 5 deaths
  • Stillwater Township-476 and 3 deaths
  • Sussex Borough-273 and 1 death
  • Vernon Township-3,016 and 24 deaths
  • Walpack Township-3 and 0 deaths
  • Wantage Township-1,530 and 12 deaths

*(Two reported positive cases have been re-assigned out of County)

According to health officials, of the 20,700 cases 18,922 cases have been classified as recovered.
