Sussex County reports 166 new COVID-19 cases; no additional deaths

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – Sussex County officials on Tuesday, December 21 are reporting 166 new COVID-19 cases and no additional deaths.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sussex County is at 22,336* and total deaths is at 362:

  • Andover Borough-79 and 0 deaths
  • Andover Township-1,071 and 130 deaths
  • Branchville Borough-108 and 0 deaths
  • Byram Township-1,274 and 8 deaths
  • Frankford Township-869 and 37 deaths
  • Franklin Borough-870 and 9 deaths
  • Fredon Township-460 and 5 deaths
  • Green Township-591 and 9 deaths
  • Hamburg Borough-573 and 8 deaths
  • Hampton Township-749 and 5 deaths
  • Hardyston Township-1,328 and 17 deaths
  • Hopatcong Borough-2,364 and 22 deaths
  • Lafayette Township-344 and 1 death
  • Montague Township-563 and 3 deaths
  • Newton-1,292 and 31 deaths 
  • Ogdensburg Borough-384 and 6 deaths
  • Sandyston Township-276 and 3 deaths
  • Sparta Township-2,865 and 23 deaths
  • Stanhope Borough-543 and 5 deaths
  • Stillwater Township-529 and 3 deaths
  • Sussex Borough-298 and 1 death
  • Vernon Township-3,247 and 24 deaths
  • Walpack Township-3 and 0 deaths
  • Wantage Township-1,656 and 12 deaths

*(Two reported positive cases have been re-assigned out of County)

According to health officials, of the 22,336 cases 19,752 cases have been classified as recovered.
