Sussex County reports 183 new COVID-19 cases; no additional deaths

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – Sussex County officials on Wednesday, December 22 are reporting 183 new COVID-19 cases and no additional deaths.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sussex County is at 22,518* and total deaths is at 362:

  • Andover Borough-81 and 0 deaths
  • Andover Township-1,079 and 130 deaths
  • Branchville Borough-109 and 0 deaths
  • Byram Township-1,285 and 8 deaths
  • Frankford Township-873 and 37 deaths
  • Franklin Borough-883 and 9 deaths
  • Fredon Township-465 and 5 deaths
  • Green Township-597 and 9 deaths
  • Hamburg Borough-572 and 8 deaths
  • Hampton Township-760 and 5 deaths
  • Hardyston Township-1,339 and 17 deaths
  • Hopatcong Borough-2,387 and 22 deaths
  • Lafayette Township-349 and 1 death
  • Montague Township-564 and 3 deaths
  • Newton-1,304 and 31 deaths 
  • Ogdensburg Borough-388 and 6 deaths
  • Sandyston Township-278 and 3 deaths
  • Sparta Township-2,890 and 23 deaths
  • Stanhope Borough-547 and 5 deaths
  • Stillwater Township-532 and 3 deaths
  • Sussex Borough-299 and 1 death
  • Vernon Township-3,272 and 24 deaths
  • Walpack Township-3 and 0 deaths
  • Wantage Township-1,663 and 12 deaths

*(One reported positive case has been re-assigned out of County)

According to health officials, of the 22,518 cases 19,819 cases have been classified as recovered.
