Sussex County reports 217 new COVID-19 cases; 1 additional death
SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – Sussex County officials on Friday, August 27 are reporting 204 new COVID-19 cases and 1 additional death.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sussex County is at 15,415* and total deaths is at 313:
- Andover Borough-59 and 0 deaths
- Andover Township-797 and 128 deaths
- Branchville Borough-73 and 0 deaths
- Byram Township-889 and 9 deaths
- Frankford Township-621 and 34 deaths
- Franklin Borough-551 and 3 deaths
- Fredon Township-312 and 5 deaths
- Green Township-388 and 6 deaths
- Hamburg Borough-381 and 6 deaths
- Hampton Township-514 and 3 deaths
- Hardyston Township-952 and 14 deaths
- Hopatcong Borough-1,692 and 16 deaths
- Lafayette Township-202 and 1 death
- Montague Township-341 and 3 deaths
- Newton-876 and 24 deaths
- Ogdensburg Borough-297 and 5 deaths
- Sandyston Township-174 and 1 death
- Sparta Township-2,067 and 19 deaths
- Stanhope Borough-421 and 4 deaths

According to health officials, of the 15,415 cases 14,594 cases have been classified as recovered.
Due to the decrease in the number of positive COVID-19 cases, the Sussex County Division of Health will now be releasing weekly reports each Friday. A detailed report will be released on a quarterly basis, officials said.
