Sussex County reports 229 new COVID-19 cases; no additional deaths
SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – Sussex County officials on Friday, September 3 are reporting 229 new COVID-19 cases and no additional deaths.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sussex County is at 15,576* and total deaths is at 313:
- Andover Borough-61 and 0 deaths
- Andover Township-810 and 128 deaths
- Branchville Borough-73 and 0 deaths
- Byram Township-903 and 9 deaths
- Frankford Township-624 and 34 deaths
- Franklin Borough-552 and 3 deaths
- Fredon Township-317 and 5 deaths
- Green Township-402 and 6 deaths
- Hamburg Borough-391 and 6 deaths
- Hampton Township-514 and 3 deaths
- Hardyston Township-959 and 14 deaths
- Hopatcong Borough-1,707 and 16 deaths
- Lafayette Township-202 and 1 death
- Montague Township-340 and 3 deaths
- Newton-880 and 24 deaths
- Ogdensburg Borough-298 and 5 deaths
- Sandyston Township-179 and 1 death
- Sparta Township-2,094 and 19 deaths
- Stanhope Borough-429 and 4 deaths
- Stillwater Township-373 and 2 deaths
- Sussex Borough-169 and 1 death

According to health officials, of the 15,576 cases 14,612 cases have been classified as recovered.
Due to the decrease in the number of positive COVID-19 cases, the Sussex County Division of Health will now be releasing weekly reports each Friday. A detailed report will be released on a quarterly basis, officials said.
