Sussex County reports 43 new COVID-19 cases; no additional deaths

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – Sussex County officials on Friday, October 1 are reporting 43 new COVID-19 cases and no additional deaths.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sussex County is at 16,735* and total deaths is at 321:

  • Andover Borough-63 and 0 deaths
  • Andover Township-864 and 128 deaths
  • Branchville Borough-78 and 0 deaths
  • Byram Township-961 and 8 deaths
  • Frankford Township-681 and 34 deaths
  • Franklin Borough-597 and 3 deaths
  • Fredon Township-348 and 5 deaths
  • Green Township-446 and 8 deaths
  • Hamburg Borough-430 and 6 deaths
  • Hampton Township-569 and 3 deaths
  • Hardyston Township-999 and 14 deaths
  • Hopatcong Borough-1,791 and 17 deaths
  • Lafayette Township-233 and 1 death
  • Montague Township-378 and 3 deaths
  • Newton-964 and 24 deaths 
  • Ogdensburg Borough-336 and 6 deaths
  • Sandyston Township-190 and 2 deaths
  • Sparta Township-2,218 and 19 deaths
  • Stanhope Borough-453 and 4 deaths
  • Stillwater Township-395 and 2 deaths
  • Sussex Borough-191 and 1 death
  • Vernon Township-2,393 and 23 deaths
  • Walpack Township-0 and 0 deaths
  • Wantage Township-1,157 and 10 deaths

*(Three reported positive cases have been re-assigned out of County)

According to health officials, of the 16,735 cases 15,836 cases have been classified as recovered.
