Sussex County reports 475 new COVID-19 cases; 1 additional death

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – Sussex County officials on Wednesday, December 29 are reporting 475 new COVID-19 cases and 1 additional death.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sussex County is at 24,416* and total deaths is at 370:

  • Andover Borough-95 and 0 deaths
  • Andover Township-1,182 and 130 deaths
  • Branchville Borough-116 and 0 deaths
  • Byram Township-1,405 and 10 deaths
  • Frankford Township-947 and 39 deaths
  • Franklin Borough-953 and 9 deaths
  • Fredon Township-501 and 5 deaths
  • Green Township-651 and 9 deaths
  • Hamburg Borough-605 and 8 deaths
  • Hampton Township-832 and 5 deaths
  • Hardyston Township-1,428 and 17 deaths
  • Hopatcong Borough-2,599 and 22 deaths
  • Lafayette Township-383 and 1 death
  • Montague Township-594 and 3 deaths
  • Newton-1,405 and 31 deaths 
  • Ogdensburg Borough-413 and 7 deaths
  • Sandyston Township-295 and 3 deaths
  • Sparta Township-3,173 and 23 deaths
  • Stanhope Borough-627 and 5 deaths
  • Stillwater Township-573 and 2 deaths
  • Sussex Borough-310 and 2 death
  • Vernon Township-3,558 and 26 deaths
  • Walpack Township-3 and 0 deaths
  • Wantage Township-1,768 and 13 deaths

According to health officials, of the 24,416 cases 20,148 cases have been classified as recovered.
