Sussex County reports 476 new COVID-19 cases; 3 additional deaths

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – Sussex County officials on Thursday, January 6 are reporting 476 new COVID-19 cases and 3 additional deaths.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sussex County is at 28,252* and total deaths is at 382:

  • Andover Borough-109 and 0 deaths
  • Andover Township-1,488 and 134 deaths
  • Branchville Borough-127 and 0 deaths
  • Byram Township-1,634 and 10 deaths
  • Frankford Township-1,105 and 40 deaths
  • Franklin Borough-1,087 and 10 deaths
  • Fredon Township-573 and 5 deaths
  • Green Township-777 and 9 deaths
  • Hamburg Borough-674 and 8 deaths
  • Hampton Township-975 and 5 deaths
  • Hardyston Township-1,619 and 18 deaths
  • Hopatcong Borough-2,968 and 24 deaths
  • Lafayette Township-435 and 1 death
  • Montague Township-674 and 3 deaths
  • Newton-1,680 and 31 deaths 
  • Ogdensburg Borough-469 and 7 deaths
  • Sandyston Township-329 and 3 deaths
  • Sparta Township-3,701 and 23 deaths
  • Stanhope Borough-734 and 5 deaths
  • Stillwater Township-692 and 3 deaths
  • Sussex Borough-349 and 2 death
  • Vernon Township-4,050 and 28 deaths
  • Walpack Township-3 and 0 deaths
  • Wantage Township-2,000 and 13 deaths

According to health officials, of the 28,252 cases 20,713 cases have been classified as recovered.
