Sussex County reports 499 new COVID-19 cases; 1 additional death

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – Sussex County officials on Friday, January 7 are reporting 499 new COVID-19 cases and 1 additional death.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sussex County is at 28,751* and total deaths is at 383:

  • Andover Borough-112 and 0 deaths
  • Andover Township-1,549 and 134 deaths
  • Branchville Borough-130 and 0 deaths
  • Byram Township-1,665 and 10 deaths
  • Frankford Township-1,113 and 40 deaths
  • Franklin Borough-1,107 and 11 deaths
  • Fredon Township-577 and 5 deaths
  • Green Township-789 and 9 deaths
  • Hamburg Borough-682 and 8 deaths
  • Hampton Township-990 and 5 deaths
  • Hardyston Township-1,646 and 18 deaths
  • Hopatcong Borough-3,019 and 24 deaths
  • Lafayette Township-444 and 1 death
  • Montague Township-684 and 3 deaths
  • Newton-1,712 and 31 deaths 
  • Ogdensburg Borough-484 and 7 deaths
  • Sandyston Township-332 and 3 deaths
  • Sparta Township-3,761 and 23 deaths
  • Stanhope Borough-748 and 5 deaths
  • Stillwater Township-701 and 3 deaths
  • Sussex Borough-361 and 2 death
  • Vernon Township-4,117 and 28 deaths
  • Walpack Township-3 and 0 deaths
  • Wantage Township-2,025 and 13 deaths

According to health officials, of the 28,751 cases 20,863 cases have been classified as recovered.
