Sussex County reports 54 new COVID-19 cases; 1 additional death

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – Sussex County officials on Friday, October 8 are reporting 54 new COVID-19 cases and 1 additional death.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sussex County is at 17,073* and total deaths is at 325:

  • Andover Borough-63 and 0 deaths
  • Andover Township-876 and 128 deaths
  • Branchville Borough-78 and 0 deaths
  • Byram Township-973 and 8 deaths
  • Frankford Township-691 and 34 deaths
  • Franklin Borough-610 and 3 deaths
  • Fredon Township-359 and 5 deaths
  • Green Township-458 and 8 deaths
  • Hamburg Borough-435 and 6 deaths
  • Hampton Township-587 and 3 deaths
  • Hardyston Township-1,020 and 15 deaths
  • Hopatcong Borough-1,816 and 17 deaths
  • Lafayette Township-243 and 1 death
  • Montague Township-392 and 3 deaths
  • Newton-987 and 25 deaths 
  • Ogdensburg Borough-336 and 6 deaths
  • Sandyston Township-195 and 2 deaths
  • Sparta Township-2,256 and 19 deaths
  • Stanhope Borough-456 and 5 deaths
  • Stillwater Township-401 and 2 deaths
  • Sussex Borough-202 and 1 death
  • Vernon Township-2,439 and 23 deaths
  • Walpack Township-1 and 0 deaths
  • Wantage Township-1,199 and 11 deaths

According to health officials, of the 17,073 cases 16,302 cases have been classified as recovered.
