Sussex County Surrogate Gary Chiusano joins Space, Fantasia and Inganamort ticket

NORTHWEST, NJ – Assemblyman Parker Space for Senate, Commissioner Dawn Fantasia for Assembly, and Mayor Mike Inganamort for Assembly Monday welcomed Sussex County Surrogate Gary Chiusano to their ticket in the June 2023 primary election.

Chiusano is seeking his third term as Sussex County Surrogate. He previously served in the New Jersey Assembly representing the 24th Legislative District.

“Providing a high level of service at the lowest possible cost has always been and will always be my top priority as Surrogate,” Chiusano said. “I’m proud to run for re-election with Parker, Dawn, and Mike.  I’ve known them all for years and am confident that they will continue to deliver for Sussex County in Trenton.”

Surrogate Gary Chiusano is in his tenth year as Sussex County Surrogate and previously served in the New Jersey Assembly, as a Sussex County Freeholder, and on the Frankford Township Committee, including as mayor. He is a resident of Sparta and active in numerous local organizations.

“Having worked with Gary over many years, I know his commitment to the people of Sussex County and I’m proud to run alongside him this year,” said Assemblyman Parker Space, candidate for Senate. “Gary has the same priorities as Dawn, Mike, and me: fighting for taxpayers and defending families.”

Assemblyman Parker Space, candidate for Senate, has served in the New Jersey Assembly since 2013. He previously served as a Sussex County Freeholder and on the Wantage Township Committee, including three years as mayor. He is an active volunteer firefighter with the Wantage Fire Department. He is the owner and operator of his 96-year-old family business, Space Farms Zoo & Museum.

“There’s a reason Gary Chiusano is consistently elected and re-elected to office. It’s because he does what he says he’s going to do,” said Commissioner Dawn Fantasia, candidate for Assembly. “The Sussex County Surrogate’s Office is one the best-run in the State of New Jersey because of Surrogate Chiusano’s watchful eye and faithful stewardship.”

Sussex County Commissioner Dawn Fantasia, candidate for Assembly, is in her second term on the Sussex County Board of Commissioners and previously served on the Franklin Borough Council, including as Council President. She is the middle school principal of a New Jersey public charter school and mother of three.

“Supporting Gary Chiusano for Freeholder in 2003 was one of my very first votes as a member of the Sussex County Republican Committee,” said Mayor Mike Inganamort, candidate for Assembly. “I couldn’t be prouder to run for office alongside a personal and family friend like Gary Chiusano – who always delivers for his constituents.”

Chester Township Mayor Mike Inganamort, candidate for Assembly, is in his sixth year on the Chester Township Council and previously served as Council President. He is a native of Sparta, where he met and married his wife Lauren, and also served on the Sussex County Republican Committee. He was a top aide to Congressman Scott Garrett. Mike and Lauren are proud parents to three daughters.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
