Sussex County woman charged with 19 counts of shoplifting

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sussex County woman has been charged with 19 counts of shoplifting from the Byram ShopRite, according to police.

On June 29, township police responded to ShopRite for a series of shoplifting incidents that previously occurred, police said.

ShopRite security told officers that Jennifer Lepre of Hopatcong had shoplifted numerous items over the past year, police said.

After a further police investigation, Lepre was charged with 19 counts of shoplifting. She responded to the police station on July 7 and was issued the summonses. She was released pending a court appearance, police said.
