
Sussex County woman sentenced to 3 years in prison after stealing over $400,000 from employer
NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A 60-year-old woman who stole more than $400,000 from her employer was sentenced to three years in prison, according to Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch.
Katherine E. Mills aka Katherine Pagliaro of Wantage was sentenced before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. in the Sussex County Virtual Court on January 13, Koch said.
Mills was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison and agreed to pay $400,000.00 in restitution, Koch said.
Mills pled guilty on March 24 to second-degree theft, Koch said.
According to Koch, between 2015 and 2020, while employed by Firefox Energy Concepts, Mills took money and funds in an amount that totaled over $400,000.00 that she was not authorized or entitled to take.
Mills was represented by Rubin Sinins, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
