The Arc of Warren County to host charity golf classic at Hawk Pointe on Sept. 12

WASHINGTON, NJ (Warren County) – The Arc of Warren County will host a Golf Classic on September 12 at Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington.

The Arc Foundation was established in 1998 to provide a continuum of funding to help assure the financial security of The Arc programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Norman Worth, Managing Partner and President of WRNJ Radio and longtime supporter of The Arc of Warren County, will emcee the event.

Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 10:00 a.m. with a scramble format. The cost to play golf is $200 and includes breakfast, 18 holes of golf, afternoon barbeque, open bar and access to raffles and prizes. Several sponsorship levels are available.

The Arc is a national organization that serves individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their family members since 1950.  The Arc of Warren is one of 700 chapters of The Arc and serves more than 1,100 people annually for the past 68 years.  Programs include residential group homes and supervised apartments, day services, community-based supports, advocacy services, recreation and summer camp, Special Olympics training, early intervention and a wide variety of additional social services.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music.
