Trailer hauling carnival ride catches fire in Morris County

BOONTON, NJ (Morris County) – Firefighters were able to save the teacup ride after the trailer caught fire  Tuesday night in Boonton.

The fire happened on August 23 shortly before midnight in the parking lot of the Boonton High School, authorities said.

Fire chief arrived on the scene to find an amusement park ride trailer that had a fire in the braking system. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire, authorities said.

Fire crews operated just under an hour before clearing the scene, authorities said.
