Tree damages the First Presbyterian Church in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A tree crashed Monday morning through a stained glass window of the First Presbyterian Church in Hackettstown.

The tree shattered the “Jesus and the Children” stained glass window and causing additional damage to the interior and exterior of the surrounding area, according to a post on the First Presbyterian Church’s Facebook page.

“We have filed reports with Hackettstown police, called our insurance company, our stained glass window company, and others as needed,” the post said.

“At this time, we ask for prayers for those helping inside and outside of the church, and prayers for the rain to stop as water is pouring into the sanctuary from the open space,” the post said.
