Tree falls on power lines causing large outage in parts of Warren County

UPDATE: Power has been restored.

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A tree came crashing down in Independence Township on Saturday morning falling across power lines and causing a large power outage in parts of Warren County.

The tree fell in the area of 44 Russling Road and Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L) crews are on scene.

JCP&L is now reporting 277 customers are without power in Independence Township and 111 customers are without power in Mansfield Township. For restoration times, click here.
