Tree lighting and Santa this Friday in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Although no one will be able to gather as normal, the Hackettstown Business Improvement District encourages the community on Friday, Dec. 4 to drive by and wave to Santa at the Hackettstown Gazebo (corner of Main St and West Moore St) as well as to see the Tree Lighting at approximately 5:30 p.m.

“We invite the community to continue your support of our Hackettstown Businesses. Please come to town Friday night and through the Holiday season to shop, dine, and visit the breweries,” Hackettstown Business Improvement District Executive Director Laurie Rapisardi said.

“They need our support during this time….so please SHOP SMALL ALL SEASON LONG! Also, while shopping downtown, you can bring your little ones to the Gazebo to drop a letter to Santa,” Rapisardi said.

People can visit a Santa Mailbox at the Gazebo starting on December 4 and this is a great photo opportunity for you and your family, Rapisardi said.

The Hackettstown Fire Department will be driving through town with Santa on their truck on Friday, December 4 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. (rain date, Sat, Dec. 12 time TBD).

“While Santa would love to drive down EVERY street, he may not be able to do so. So please listen for the fire truck sirens which will announce Santa’s Arrival to your area. Please make your way to the closest main street/cross road if you live on a side street so that you can wave to Santa. Due to the pandemic, Santa will not be stopping or handing out candy at this time,” Rapisardi said.
