Two injured in knife assault in Morris County

DOVER, NJ (Morris County) – Two people were injured following a knife assault early Sunday morning in Dover, according to police.

On November 6, at around 1:18 a.m., officers responded to the area of East Blackwell Street near Mercer Street for a reported altercation between multiple men, police said.

During this altercation, two men involved were assaulted with a knife and suffered injuries. They were then transported to Morristown Medical Center for treatment, police said.

“The investigation is active and ongoing at this time. No further information will be released at this time in order to protect the integrity of the investigation,” police said.

“Based on the information obtained, there is no perceived threat to the public at this time,” police said.
