
Two Sussex County assisted living facility employees accused of stealing from residents, employees
FRANKLIN BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – Two employees of an assisted living center in Franklin Borough are accused of stealing from residents and employees, police said in a news release this week.
Caitlyn Wagoner, 20, of Hamburg and Nilda Bonilla, 59, of Franklin, who were employees of an assisted living facility in Franklin Brough, were found to have stolen property and currency from residents and fellow employees between March of 2021 and January of 2022, police said.
Wagoner was charged with third-degree theft, and Bonilla was charged with fourth-degree theft on December 13, 2021, and January 7, 2022 following an investigation conducted by Franklin Borough detectives, police said.
Both released pending their appearance in Sussex County Superior Court in accordance with the NJ Bail Reform Act, police said.
The owner of the facility fired both Wagoner and Nilda, and cooperated in the investigation, police said.
