UPDATE: Tractor-trailer driver injured in multi-vehicle crash on I-80 in Warren County still in serious condition

BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – The driver of a tractor-trailer who was rescued after being trapped in his truck following a multi-vehicle crash Thursday night in Warren County remains hospitalized.

The driver, Engjell Skenderi, 65, of Ontario, Canada was still in serious condition as of Friday evening, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Alejandro Goez said.

The crash happened at 6:27 p.m. on Interstate 80 eastbound at milepost 9.2 in Blairstown Township, Goez said.

There were four vehicles involved and the tractor-trailer had heavy entrapment, according to firefighters.

Skenderi sustained serious injuries and was flown to Morristown Medical Center, Goez said.

Warren County HAZMAT also responded due to a diesel spill.

The crash remains under inveisgation, Goez said.
