Veterans headstone cleaning at Mount Pleasant Cemetery to be held July 15

ALEXANDRIA TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Hunterdon County Board Commissioner Susan J. Soloway, who also serves as the Veterans Affairs liaison, announced the next veteran headstone cleaning event will be held on Saturday, July 15 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Alexandria Township.

The cemetery is located on the East side of County Road 519 opposite the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church located at 141 Little York Mount Pleasant Road.

Cleaning supplies will be provided by the county and all volunteers will be trained.

Additional upcoming 2023 headstone cleanings are scheduled for the following dates:

  • Saturday, September 23rd, Locust Grove Cemetery in Franklin Township.
  • Saturday, October 14th, Saint John’s Cemetery in Lambertville.
