VIDEO: Burglar kicks in door, steals money and jewelry in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The Hackettstown Police Department is currently investigating a burglary that occurred at an apartment located at 175 Main Street on Thursday.

On April 6, at around 11:30 a.m., two women, who were not known to the residents, came to the apartment asking to use the bathroom. One woman used the bathroom while the other woman stood in the kitchen nearby the doorway to a bedroom, police said.

The women then left and one was approximately 45-years-old and the other was approximately 60-years-old, police said.

Then at around 11:46 a.m., an unknown suspect kicked opened the front door to that apartment and stole an undisclosed amount of money, and jewelry. The suspect then fled the scene, police said.

A resident was in a locked bedroom at the time of the burglary and was not injured, police said.
