VIDEO: Firefighters, police officers rescue baby deer stuck in hole in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) — Firefighters and police rescued a baby deer that was stuck in a 5-foot-deep hole Monday morning in Hackettstown, police said.

The fawn was trapped in a hole located at a residence on Valentine St.

A backhoe was used to dig a larger hole and it took about an hour to safely remove the fawn, police said.

The fawn was uninjured and left nearby for its mother, police said.
