VIDEO: Overturned boat catches fire on I-287 in Somerset County

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Somerset County) – An overturned boat caught fire Saturday afternoon on Interstate 287 in Bridgewater Township, according to a post on the Finderne Fire Department’s Facebook page.

The Finderne Fire Department said they were dispatched to Interstate 287 northbound in the area of mile marker 13 for a motor vehicle fire. While enroute, emergency crews were advised of possible entrapment.

The Fire chief arrived and located a multi-vehicle accident, with a boat overturned and on fire. The chief confirmed there was no entrapment.

The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately clear.
