PHILLIPSBURG, NJ (Warren County) – A month-long investigation into the alleged distribution of CDS in the Phillipsburg area has led to the arrest of a 39-year-old Phillipsburg man, according to Warren County Prosecutor James Pfeiffer.
On October 16, members from the the Phillipsburg Police Department, Hackettstown Police Department, Washington Township Police Department, Phillipsburg Police Department, New Jersey State Police, Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Unit and with assistance from the Pohatcong Township Police Department and the Warren County Tactical Response Team executed a narcotics search warrant at 268 Chambers Street, Apt. 1 in Phillipsburg resulting in the arrest of Brian Slack Jr. and the seizure of cocaine, methamphetamine, MDMA pills, drug paraphernalia and US currency, Pfeiffer said.
Slack was charged with three counts of third-degree possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, and MDMA pills, one count of fourth-degree possession of marijuana, one count of third-degree possession with the intent to distribute CDS within500 feet of a public park, one count of third-degree possession with the intent to distribute CDS, and one count disorderly person offense possession of drug paraphernalia, Pfeiffer said.
Each third-degree offense carries a maximum of five years in New Jersey State Prison, the Fourth-degree offenses carry maximum of 18 months in New Jersey State Prison and the disorderly person’s offenses carry a maximum of 180 days in the Warren County Correctional Facility, Pfeiffer said.
