Warren County man arrested in fatal hit-and-run crash

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Warren County man has been arrested in connection to the fatal pedestrian motor vehicle accident that occurred in Holland Township on Monday night, according to Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams.

On Nov. 16, at around 5:25 p.m., township police responded to County Route 519 in the area of Gridley Circle Road for the report of a body on the shoulder of the roadway, Williams said.

Upon arrival, police discovered a deceased male who was later identified as Raymond Levandowski, 73, of Holland Township. The initial investigation revealed Levandowski was the victim of a hit and run motor vehicle accident, Williams said.

Information gathered during the investigation led police to a vehicle owned by Arthur Segreaves, 67, of Pohatcong Township, Williams said.

After further investigation, Segreaves was arrested and charged with second-degree leaving the scene of a
motor vehicle accident that resulted in death. He has been lodged in the Warren County Jail pending his first court appearance, Williams said.

“My condolences go out to Mr. Levandowski’s family and friends during this sad time. I would also like to acknowledge and thank the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s detectives and assistant prosecutors, the Holland Township Police Department, and the Pohatcong Police Department for their efforts during this investigation,” Williams said.
