Warren County man charged in crack cocaine, heroin distribution investigation

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ (Warren County) – A four-month long investigation into the alleged distribution of crack cocaine and heroin in Phillipsburg has led to the arrest of a Warren County man, according to acting Warren County Prosecutor James Pfeiffer.

On January 2, the Phillipsburg police, Washington Township Police, NJ State Police, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, and the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant of a residence in Phillipsburg, Pfeiffer said.

Shene T. Brown, 29, of Phillipsburg was charged with third-degree distribution of heroin, three counts of third-degree possession with intent to distribute heroin and crack cocaine, and three counts of third-degree distribution of heroin and crack cocaine. The alleged offenses occurred on various dates in August 2019, Pfeiffer said.

Brown was lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility and is pending a detention hearing.

The third-degree offenses carry a maximum of five years in state prison.

“The investigation remains active, Pfeiffer said.”
