Warren County man charged with possessing, distributing child sex abuse material
LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Warren County man was arrested for allegedly distributing and possessing child sexual abuse material, the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday.
In July of 2022, Dropbox, a file sharing application, reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a user on their platform was allegedly uploading images showing the sexual exploitation of children, authorities said.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children then notified the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office who conducted an investigation to locate the suspect. Law enforcement were able to identify the suspect as Zachary Danner, 23, of Lopatcong Township, the prosecutor’s office said.
The prosecutor’s office then obtained a communication data warrant to view the contents of Danner’s Dropbox account and detectives found images of child sexual abuse material, authorities said.
On October 5, a search warrant was executed at Danner’s residence and he then was arrested, the prosecutor’s office said.
Danner was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child for reproducing images of child sexual abuse material, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child for possession with intent to distribute child sexual abuse material, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child for distribution of child sexual abuse material, and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child for possession of child pornography.
