Warren County man charged with shoplifting after taking Snickers ice cream bar from Speedway then eating it in their bathroom

LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Police arrested a Warren County man last week for shoplifting after eating a Snickers ice cream bar in the restroom and the leaving without paying, according to authorities.

On Sept. 24, at around 3:27 p.m., police responded to the Speedway gas station for a report of a man shoplifting. When officers arrived, they located Thomas Kline III of Phillipsburg in the parking lot, police said.

Speedway employees told police that Kline took an Snickers ice cream bar from the freezer without paying for it and then proceeded into the restroom, where he consumed the Snickers, police said.

Kline was charged with shoplifting and Kline was released pending a court appearance, police said.
