
Warren County woman charged with inhaling toxic chemical, shoplifting
LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Warren County woman is facing charges including inhaling toxic chemical and shoplifting in Lopatcong Township, police said.
On Feb. 4, at around 9:35 a.m., township officers responded to the Rite Aid Pharmacy, located at the St. Luke’s Hillcrest Plaza, for a report of a woman inhaling paint cans, police said.
When officers arrived, the officers found Jessica M. Hooker, 35, of Stewartsville allegedly passed out with two canisters of Endust Spray Duster, police said.
Hooker was awakened and showed signs of impairment. She was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters, police said.
Hooker was charged with inhaling a toxic chemical and possession of drug paraphernalia. she was then lodged in Warren County Correctional Facility, police said.
Police later determined that Hooker had shoplifted the spray duster canisters from Rite Aid and was additionally issued a summons for shoplifting, police said.
