Woman accused of possessing fentanyl-laced drugs in Hackettstown
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Morris County woman is accused of possessing fentanyl-laced cocaine and heroin in Hackettstown last week, police said.
On July 14, at around 6:11 p.m., the police responded to Bea McNally’s, located at 109 Grand Avenue, in reference to a female that was reportedly “nodding off” at the bar. Once on scene, staff advised the officers that they didn’t serve the female any alcohol and they suspected her of being ill or under the influence of drugs, police said.
The officers made contact with the female, who was identified as Jeanne Hicks, 51, of Denville Township, and through an investigation it was determined that she was under the influence of CDS, police said.
Hicks allegedly had in her possession a pipe used to inhale cocaine, suspected cocaine laced with fentanyl, and suspected heroin laced with fentanyl, police said.
Hicks was charged with being under the influence of CDS, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia to inhale CDS, possession of cocaine and possession of heroin. She was then lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance, police said.
