
Woman accused of stealing items off front porch in Washington Borough
WASHINGTON BOROUGH, NJ (Warren County) – A woman has been charged for allegedly stealing items off a front porch in Washington Borough.
On October 27, at around 11:47 a.m., an officer observed a female enter onto the front porch of a residence in the 100 block of Broad Street and remove a concrete mushroom, metal table and hanging basket, police said.
The officer made contact with the female, who was identified as a 54-year-old Washington woman, and told the officer she was allowed to take the items and then provided the officer with a fake name and date of birth, police said.
The officer upon further investigation, arrested the woman and she was charged her with theft of movable property and obstruction of the administration of justice. She was then released pending a court appearance, police said.
