Woman accused of stealing keys to electronic display cases from Morris County Walmart

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A 25-year-old Budd Lake woman is accused of stealing keys to the electronic display cases from a Mount Olive Township Walmart.

On Feb. 18, at around 7:45 p.m., Officers were called to the Walmart, located at 40 International Drive South, in the the Flanders section of the township for report of security keys being stolen in the electronic section of the store, police said.

The Walmart loss prevention officer told police that the female suspect was seen earlier on video attempting to use the keys to open secured glass display cases, police said.

Officers were provided a description and license plate of the suspects car, which was later located by officers, police said.

An officer spoke with the suspect, who was identified Nyrie Griffin and after a brief investigation, it was determined that she took the keys and they were located inside her vehicle, police said.

Griffin was charged with theft and burglary tools. She was released pending a court appearance, police said.
