
Woman arrested after month-long drug investigation in Hackettstown
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Following a month-long investigation into the alleged distribution of heroin in Hackettstown, an arrest warrant was issued on Nov. 19 for Chelsea M. Pruden, 28, of Andover, NJ for heroin distribution charges, police said.
Pruden was then arrested on Nov. 29 in Newark by the Essex County Sheriff’s Office, police said.
Pruden was charged with two counts of third-degree distribution of heroin, two (2) counts of third-degree possession with intent to distribute heroin, two counts of second-degree distribution of heroin within 500 Feet of a public park, and two counts of third-degree distribution of heroin within 1,000 feet of school property.
The investigation was conducted by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force, with the assistance of the Hackettstown Police Department, Mansfield Township Police Department, Washington Township Police Department (Warren County), and the New Jersey State Police.
The second-degree offenses carry a maximum of ten years New Jersey State Prison and the third-degree offenses carry a maximum of five years New Jersey State Prison.
