Woman arrested for DWI after police see her driving on car’s rims in Hunterdon County

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Pennsylvania woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated Wednesday after allegedly driving with two wheels missing from her vehicle in Readington Township.

On February 9, at around 7:45 p.m., police responded to Route 22 for a vehicle driving the wrong direction with two blown out tires, police said.

Officers checked the area and located the vehicle driving north on Route 523 (Oldwick Road) on the vehicle’s driver side rims. While speaking to the driver, who was identified as Jessica Hwang, 44, of Tobyhanna, the officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her breath, police said.

Hwang failed the officers field sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI. Hwang was issued a motor vehicle summons for DWI, reckless driving, careless driving and failure to maintain lane, police said.
