Woman arrested for DWI following Morris County crash

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Sussex County woman was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash earlier this month in Washington township.

On Tuesday, July 6, at 7:54 a.m., township officers responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 46 and East Avenue, police said.

A female resident of Hopatcong Borough was traveling Route 46 West in the area of East Avenue and struck a vehicle two times on the passenger side that was traveling in the same direction, police said.

Upon a further police investigation, the female was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to police headquarters for processing and was released pending a court appearance. Her vehicle was towed to the Washington Township Police impound yard, police said.
