Woman arrested for promoting prostitution at Somerset County massage parlor

WATCHUNG BOROUGH, NJ (Somerset County) – A New York woman was arrested on charges of promoting prostitution at a Watchung Borough massage parlor, according to Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.

On Friday, August 5, at around 11:00 a.m., the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Northern Street Crimes Task Force concluded an undercover investigation into numerous anonymous complaints of alleged prostitution at a massage parlor establishment located within a business complex in Watchung Borough, McDonald said.

Detectives then obtained a Superior Court search warrant for the establishment, McDonald said.

Task force members along with Officers from the Watchung Borough Police Department executed the search warrant at the massage parlor which resulted in the arrest of Zhuhua Luo, 42, of Flushing, McDonald said.

An undisclosed sum of U.S. currency was seized as alleged proceeds of prostitution, McDonald said.

Luo was charged with third-degree promoting prostitution, and prostitution. She was then released pending a Superior Court appearance, McDonald said.
