Woman charged with DWI after falling asleep at Hunterdon County intersection, cops say

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – An incident at the intersection of Clubhouse Drive and Route 523 in Readington Township ended with the arrest of one woman, according to the Readington Police Department.

On Tuesday, at around 11:45 p.m., police observed a vehicle driven by Joanna Salvatore parked at the intersection of Clubhouse Drive and Route 523, police said.

The officer checked on the driver and observed Salvatore had fallen asleep at the intersection and was driving while intoxicated, police said.

Salvatore failed the officers field sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI. She was issued a summonses for DWI, reckless driving, careless driving and delaying traffic, police said.
