CHATHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County woman faces charges in connection with a fatal crash that occurred on March 28 in Chatham Township, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.
The three vehicle crash happened at around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Shunpike Road and Lafayette Avenue, Carroll said.
A Nissan Rouge, driven by Yulia Raynova, 45, of Madison Borough, had been traveling west on the roadway into the intersection, and struck a Jeep Wrangler, driven by Michael Pacchia Jr., 52, Chatham Township, which was traveling south. The Wrangler then impacted a box truck parked on the opposite side of the intersection, Carroll said.
Pacchia was pronounced dead at the scene, Carroll said.
As a result of the investigation, Raynova was charged on Thursday with one count of second-degree vehicular homicide and multiple motor vehicle offenses, Carroll said.
