Woman faces drug charges following traffic stop in Sussex County

FRANKLIN BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sussex County woman is facing drug charges following a traffic stop in Franklin Borough.

Lea Dundas, 26, of Vernon Township was arrested and charged on July 25 with possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, and possession of hypodermic needles following a motor vehicle stop, police said.

Dundas was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for numerous infractions, and during the officer’s contact with the occupants, she allegedly admitted to having the contraband during the vehicle’s impoundment, police said.

Dundas was released pending her court appearance in Franklin Borough Municipal Court in accordance with the NJ Bail Reform Act, police said.
