Woman facing drug, eluding charges in Warren County

ALPHA BOROUGH, NJ (Warren County) – A Pennsylvania woman is facing charges after authorities say she fled from police and was in possession of heroin and methamphetamine.

On July 31, at 2:15 p.m., Phillipsburg Police responded to the 500 Block of East Central Avenue in Alpha Borough for a report of a dispute and one of the individuals involved in the dispute was reportedly carrying a firearm in a backpack, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

When officers arrived, the suspect drove away on a dirt bike. The suspect fled into a field off Natalie Drive in Phillipsburg and was subsequently arrested, authorities said.

While searching Traci L. Walker, 36, of Allentown, officers found 116 wax folds of suspected heroin and one bag of methamphetamine, authorities said.

Walker was charged with third-degree unlawful possession of heroin, third-degree unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and third-degree eluding a police or law enforcement officer. She is being held at the Warren County Correctional center pending a court appearance on August 5, authorities said.

The third-degree offenses carry a maximum penalty of five years in New Jersey State Prison.
