Woman injured by falling tree in Morris County
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A 33-year-old woman was struck and injured by a tree that fell in Morris Township Monday morning, Morris Township Police Captain Robert Shearer said.
The incident happened at around 9:30 a.m. on Fairmount Avenue.
The Morris Township resident was transported to an area hospital and is receiving medical attention.
“It is assumed the tree fell due to high winds, however it is not definitely known,” Shearer said.
A power outage is affecting the area due to the tree taking down power lines.
