Woman pleads guilty to stealing products from Sussex County ShopRite

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A New York woman has pleaded guilty to stealing products from the Montague Township ShopRite, according to Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch.

Crystal L. Candelario, 31, of Port Jervis pled guilty to third-degree theft before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Virtual Courtroom in Newton on May 19, Koch said.

According to Koch, in pleading guilty, Candelario admitted to taking more than $500 but less than $75,000 worth of products from the ShopRite in Montague Township with no intent to pay for them.

Candelario is scheduled to be sentenced on July 7, 2022 before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C., Koch said.

Candelario was represented by Matthew Young, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
