Woman pleads guilty to theft in Sussex County

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Florida woman has entered a guilty plea to theft, according to Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch.

Nicole C. Grove (A.K.A Nicole Kostka), 42, of St. Cloud pled guilty to third-degree theft before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Virtual Courtroom in Newton on December 6, Koch said.

According to Koch, Grove admitted to taking money from the victims by writing checks to herself, then cashing them and using the proceeds.

Grove is scheduled to be sentenced on January 20, 2022, Koch said.

Grove was represented by Matthew W. Young Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
