Work to begin Tuesday on Route 46 in Hackettstown, expect delays

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Starting Tuesday, motorists should expect delays on Route 46 in Hackettstown as crews begin work at the intersection of Moore St and Route 46.

The work is tentatively scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020. The work will be done Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (weather permitting), police said.

This work will consist of installing new traffic signals, curbing and ADA curb ramps at the intersection of Moore St and Route 46, police said.

Motorists can expect lane shifts along Route 46 and full closures of East Moore St and West Moore St. People needing to get to residences or businesses will be allowed access, police said.

There will be no parking on Main St in the area of the road work. Anyone parked in the no parking areas will be ticketed and towed, police said.

Motorists can expect traffic delays and are encouraged to plan an alternate route, police said.
