DOVER, NJ (Morris County) – Zufall Health has announced that Barry Petruzzi, Vice President of Actuarial Services at Delta Dental of New Jersey, has joined its Board of Directors.
An accomplished actuarial executive with more than 25 years’ experience in the group life/disability marketplace, Petruzzi has been with Delta Dental since 2019. Previously, he held senior leadership roles with Prudential Financial, The Hartford, and Guardian Life Insurance Company of America.

We trust his expertise will help us address complex business challenges, enhancing our capacity to fulfill our mission,” said Zufall President and CEO Frances L. Palm, MPA. “The move also strengthens our longstanding partnership with Delta Dental, and we look forward to progress made toward our shared goal of healthier communities.”
Since the late 1990s, Delta Dental has generously supported many oral health initiatives at Zufall. Initially covering the costs of clinical dental operations in the health center’s early days, the company has since expanded its support to include the Zufall Health Delta Dental Mobile—a van providing licensed dental care on wheels—and Smiles for Our Heroes, offering free and low-cost dental care to military veterans. Delta Dental was also a Cornerstone Funder of Zufall’s new building in West Orange.

Petruzzi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and frequent speaker at events hosted by the Society of Actuaries and the Group Underwriters Association of America.
